Safety Engineer (Aerospace Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and audit health and safety programs, procedures, and the site EHS improvement plan.
• Support OSHA compliance, the Accident Prevention Plan, and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Analyze incident data, support root-cause investigations, and track corrective actions through completion.
• Develop job hazard analyses, recommend controls using the hierarchy of controls, and participate in equipment and process pre-start-up reviews.
• Support safety communications, employee involvement, training programs, workers’ compensation claims, industrial hygiene sampling, and ergonomic assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety/Environmental Engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of safety coordinator or safety engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing facility.
• Strong technical, oral, and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, certain temporary residents, refugees, or asylees.

Nice to have

• Professional credential such as CSP, ASP, GSP, CIH, CHMM, ST/CHMM, or CHMP.
• Experience with ergonomics, hearing conservation, aerospace manufacturing, ISO 14001/45001, or workers’ compensation requirements.
