EHS Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Gloversville, New York, United States. The role requires authorization to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Lead the EHS team, including hiring, performance management, professional development, and training delivery.
• Monitor compliance with local, state, federal, and internal EHS requirements, including DOT, environmental, sustainability, and industrial hygiene standards.
• Manage inspections, audits, regulatory reporting, permits, emergency response activities, safety committees, and first responder training.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigations, root cause analyses, risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and corrective actions.
• Track EHS performance, communicate regulatory updates, advise leadership, and collaborate with stakeholders on sustainable business practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in an EHS role.
• Ability to work for any employer in the United States.
• Ability to manage regulatory compliance, inspections, audits, permits, incident investigations, and safety training.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing experience.
• CSP certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
