Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States. The role involves office and field environments, frequent travel to customer locations, and work in noisy or potentially hazardous areas. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.
Estimated starting salary: $40.14–$55.19 per hour, with geographic differentials potentially applicable.

What you will do
- Lead large-scale avionics installation and maintenance projects.
- Diagnose and repair avionics systems using technical documentation and advanced diagnostic methods.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and maintain comprehensive activity records.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to support compliance, safety, and quality standards.
- Mentor, train, guide, and inspect the work of other avionics technicians.
- Travel frequently to customer locations and troubleshoot equipment in office, field, industrial, and construction environments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 7 years of relevant experience; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Specialized expertise in avionics systems, installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, soldering, and crimping.
- Ability to interpret complex schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and technical publications, including routing wires from technical drawings.
- Basic understanding of spectrometers, oscilloscopes, and/or pitot-static equipment; own tools in good working order.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights and in confined spaces, travel frequently, operate a vehicle, and follow safety procedures in potentially hazardous environments.
Nice to have
- Associate’s degree in avionics, electronics, or a related field.
- Leadership and project management experience, including prior lead experience.
- Expertise with advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with the FCC and General Radio Operator License (GROL).
- Aerospace and defense, U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. military experience.
