TL;DR
Electronics Technician (Aerospace): Testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electronic and electromechanical products and systems with an accent on automated testing, component-level fault isolation, and aerospace manufacturing quality. Focus on interpreting schematics, calibrating equipment, investigating non-conformances, and performing complex environmental and electrical tests.

Location: Lynnwood, Washington, United States; onsite manufacturing environment. First shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Second shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00–10:30 p.m. or 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., depending on department. Only US Persons may be considered where access to Controlled Data or Information is required under ITAR.

Salary: $32.32–$41.77 per hour for Level II; $41.93–$55.21 per hour for Level III/IV.

What you will do

  • Test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical products, parts, equipment, and systems.
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, work orders, test procedures, failure reports, and engineering specifications.
  • Perform automated and manual testing using test consoles, flying probe and ICT equipment, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, multimeters, hi-pot equipment, and environmental test systems.
  • Calibrate and adjust units, perform electrical and mechanical calculations, and troubleshoot production failures down to the component level.
  • Create non-conformance reports, document test results and root-cause investigations, and maintain equipment logs and manuals.
  • Cross-train less experienced technicians, support engineering investigations, audits, customer visits, and Lean manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a related field or equivalent educational experience.
  • AA degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience or recognized education.
  • Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting methods, electronic circuitry, mechanical characteristics, manufacturing or repair workflows, and computer systems.
  • Ability to learn test software and equipment, identify abnormal equipment and product conditions, and work across time-entry, data-entry, training, PDM, and MRP systems.
  • Good spoken and written communication in English.
  • Ability to work onsite in Lynnwood, Washington, and meet applicable US Person and ITAR access requirements.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, manufacturing costs, and production optimization.
  • Knowledge of engineering electronics, science, technology, circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.
