TL;DR
Repair and Overhaul Electronics Technician II-IV (Aerospace) (electronics testing and repair): Testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aerospace electronic components and electro-mechanical assemblies with an accent on board-level repairs, schematic interpretation, and automated and manual equipment testing. Focus on diagnosing customer failures to the component level, performing soldering and equipment adjustments, and supporting complex repair and overhaul operations.

Location: Lynnwood, Washington, United States; onsite repair station role with 1st- and 2nd-shift schedules

Salary: $32.30-$41.78 per hour for Level II, $41.93-$53.69 per hour for Level III, and $43.12-$55.21 per hour for Level IV

Supplies critical power, sensing, fluid, and other systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, unmanned aerial systems, and medical technologies.

What you will do

  • Test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic components, electro-mechanical assemblies, equipment, and systems in a repair and overhaul environment.
  • Read and apply maintenance manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering instructions, failure reports, and acceptance test procedures.
  • Perform board-level customer hardware repairs using soldering irons, heat guns, hand tools, and other required equipment.
  • Conduct automated and manual testing, including vibration, burn-in, thermal-cycle, leak, hydraulic, hi-pot, signal-generator, power-supply, and oscilloscope testing.
  • Document test results, system logs, repair data, equipment operation, and technical reports.
  • Resolve equipment malfunctions, support customers and engineers, cross-train less experienced technicians, and contribute to 5S, KPI, standard-work, and problem-solving initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • AA degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience or recognized education.
  • Extensive troubleshooting knowledge covering electronics circuitry or mechanical characteristics, with familiarity with manufacturing or repair product flow.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation, learn test software and equipment, identify abnormal conditions, and use logic to develop solutions.
  • Manual and finger dexterity, precise coordinated movements, computer and data-entry skills, communication skills, and time-management ability.
  • Only US persons will be considered where access to controlled data or information is required; ITAR requirements apply.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and repair or distribution optimization.
  • Practical knowledge of engineering electronics, science, technology, and production equipment.
  • Experience with circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.

  • 1st shift runs Monday-Friday with start times between 4:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.; 2nd shift runs Monday-Friday with start times between noon and 4:00 p.m.
