Senior Business Analyst, R&D Quality

Location: Onsite in Raritan or Titusville, New Jersey; Horsham, Pennsylvania; or La Jolla, California, United States. Up to 5% domestic travel may be required.

Salary: $109,000–$174,800 per year.

What you will do

• Gather reporting and analytics requirements from process owners and business stakeholders, define metrics and data sources, and translate needs into deliverables.
• Operate recurring quality metrics cycles, validate calculations, publish reports, and investigate anomalies.
• Analyze audit and inspection data to identify trends, repeat findings, readiness gaps, and emerging risks.
• Build and maintain dashboards, data pipelines, data models, reconciliations, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation using approved analytics platforms.
• Evaluate and prototype automation and AI-enabled solutions, including Copilot, Power Platform, RAG-based retrieval, and agentic workflows.
• Support UAT, defect tracking, release verification, user enablement, vendor coordination, and leadership reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university degree.
• At least 4 years of experience in data analytics, data management, or a similar field.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry.
• Experience gathering business reporting requirements and translating them into delivered reports.
• Experience with data modeling and building or maintaining data pipelines.
• Strong collaboration, influencing, communication, and presentation skills for senior audiences.

Nice to have

• GxP or quality data experience and knowledge of GAMP 5, CSA, Part 11, data integrity, and audit trail review.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python.
• Knowledge of GenAI, LLMs, RAG, Copilot, or other AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience coordinating with offshore or vendor development teams.
