Controls & Maintenance Technician

Location: On-site at the Nevada, Missouri site, United States. Domestic travel may be required up to 2%; off-shift support, including weekends and holidays, may occasionally be required.

Salary: $40.48–$42.34 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. A shift differential and double-time pay may apply during qualifying off-shift work.

What you will do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain AC/DC motors, drive systems, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PID loops, 4–20 mA systems, industrial controllers, PLCs, sensors, actuators, I/O devices, control panels, wiring, and related interfaces.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair thermal oxidizer systems, including combustion, airflow, exhaust, heat recovery, dampers, valves, and actuators.
• Install and modify control and power wiring up to 480 volts AC in accordance with NEC, OSHA, intrinsically safe, and explosion-proof wiring requirements.
• Read and update electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, equipment manuals, and control system documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and support equipment upgrades, controls improvements, reliability projects, outages, startups, and shutdowns.

Requirements

• Must work on-site at the Nevada, Missouri facility.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of industrial manufacturing technician experience, or a technical or bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field in lieu of experience.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and NFPA 70E arc-flash safety practices.

Nice to have

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in industrial maintenance or automation/electronics engineering.
• Experience with PLCs and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
