Maintenance Controls Technician (Electro-Mechanical Systems)

Location: On-site in New Albany, Ohio, United States

Salary: $40–$46 per hour for US-based candidates; location-specific ranges may apply outside the US.

What you will do

• Perform corrective, preventive, and planned maintenance on production-related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and improve complex motion-control and electro-mechanical systems.
• Support commissioning, installation, startup, calibration, and testing of machines and systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, emergencies, and production interruptions to minimize downtime.
• Track work orders, parts, repairs, technical data, and maintenance records using CMMS software such as MaintainX.
• Identify safety risks, reliability issues, process improvements, and cost-saving opportunities while coordinating repairs with production personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED and at least 18 years of age.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field, including 3+ years with electro-mechanical control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and maintain advanced technical equipment independently.
• Knowledge of CMMS systems and ability to document and interpret preventive and predictive maintenance data.
• Effective spoken and written English communication; bilingual Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, use lifts, and perform physically demanding work during shifts of up to 12 hours.

Nice to have

• Formal training or certification in electrical, mechanical, motion control, or PLC systems.
• Experience with robotic systems, electrical and electronic principles, lean or Six Sigma methods, or pharmacy fulfillment equipment.
• Advanced training or a degree in engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
