Electrical Controls Tech (Electrical Controls)

Location: Holland, Michigan, USA; onsite role with travel for customer, supplier, agency, machine installation, setup, and service support as required.

What you will do

• Design and document new electrical products and product-line enhancements using information from mechanical design and R&D teams.
• Build electrical panels, wire machines, run conduit, pull cables, weld wire ways, test safety circuits, and support machine disassembly for shipping.
• Review product form, fit, and function using CAD and PCs; assemble prototypes and evaluate materials, processes, and performance.
• Prepare electrical schematics and bills of materials, maintain engineering files, and track parts for machine production.
• Coordinate wiring and machine startup with assembly, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and sales teams.
• Provide field engineering support and answer customer service questions for Fogg customers, dealers, and agents.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
• Five years of electrical experience preferred, including electrical wiring experience in an OEM environment.
• Experience with RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, and FactoryTalk View ME.
• Experience with machine design, tooling, controls, or field maintenance.
• Experience with AutoCAD, mechanical desktop, 3-D drawing, Excel, Word, or related tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and willingness to take on challenges.
