Controls Technician (Manufacturing Automation)

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; onsite. Travel is not required. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future. Relocation is unavailable.

Salary: $73,900–$90,500 annually, plus an eligible 10% discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot automation and controls issues supporting manufacturing operations.
• Develop, implement, and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve factory automation equipment and systems.
• Engineer controls and software solutions for manufacturing work cells.
• Write maintenance SOPs and support repair and diagnostic functions.
• Define and execute design verifications, manufacturing control plans, TPM initiatives, and analytics-driven decisions.

Requirements

• Program PLCs and HMIs, especially Allen Bradley; Siemens experience is beneficial.
• Understand CNC controls, primarily Siemens and Fanuc, and read controls prints; modify prints using AutoCAD.
• Have exposure to RFID, vision systems, laser engravers, and robots.
• Have experience with SCADA programming, specifically Ignition, plus SQL and Python.
• Have experience leading projects and working collaboratively across teams.
• Post-high-school education is required; at least two years of related experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with CNC machining.
• Understanding of industrial network infrastructures, including Ethernet and DeviceNet.
