TL;DR
Clinical Sales Specialist, Spine (Seattle, WA) – Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Orthopaedics (spinal surgical products): Supporting orthopedic surgical cases in hospitals and operating rooms with an accent on clinical guidance, equipment availability, and customer logistics. Focus on independently assisting surgeons, troubleshooting procedural needs, managing purchase orders and assets, and supporting sales growth across the Seattle territory.

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States of America; residence in or willingness to relocate to the assigned territory is required.

Compensation: 100% commission/incentive compensation with eligibility for a bi-weekly draw.

What you will do

  • Guide and assist surgeons during orthopedic surgical cases by providing clinical and technical support.
  • Represent the company during surgeries, support customers, and ensure equipment is available and functioning.
  • Troubleshoot physician and customer needs and manage hospital billing and purchase orders.
  • Share customer, procedural, and marketplace insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic account teams.
  • Consult with operating rooms and sterile processing departments.
  • Track, maintain, deploy, and transport instruments, implants, and equipment across the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; alternatively, an associate degree or medical certification with at least 2 years of relevant experience, at least 4 years of relevant experience, or recent transition from active military duty.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory and operating-room environment.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
  • Ability to travel, including possible weekend and overnight travel, and residence in or willingness to relocate to the assigned territory.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem-solving, business acumen, data analysis, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a matrixed team structure, with an understanding of human anatomy and physiology.

  • Technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions.
