Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

Salary: $82,900–$134,300 per year

Manufactures highly customized fire and emergency response trucks, including pumpers, aerials, tankers, and rescue units.

What you will do

• Lead maintenance strategies for facility equipment, infrastructure, robotics, automated production lines, and other critical assets.
• Develop predictive maintenance programs using vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic testing, and condition monitoring.
• Use CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP PM or Maximo to track asset performance, failure modes, and maintenance KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, and OEE.
• Deploy IIoT sensors, monitoring systems, dashboards, and predictive algorithms to detect faults early and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Establish FMEA and reliability-centered maintenance strategies, standard procedures, digital work instructions, and root cause analysis practices.
• Lead and develop the maintenance team while managing budgets, schedules, reporting, compliance, and cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager, Repair Manager, or in a similar leadership role.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, schedules, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Ability to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in automated industrial environments.

Nice to have

• CMRP or CMM maintenance certification.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, project management tools, MRO optimization, and critical spare parts strategies.
• Hands-on experience with AGVs/AMRs, robotic welding systems, CNC machines, PLC-controlled lines, FANUC, ABB, or KUKA robotics.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting, HMI systems, VFDs, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, SCADA, MES, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Experience with heavy metal fabrication, high-volume assembly, electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and HVAC.
