Location: Columbia, Maryland, United States; responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after-hours calls.

Salary: $89,470.81–$137,647.40 per year. Qualified hires may be eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus, subject to company policy and a three-year employment commitment.

Maryland Oncology Hematology is an independent oncology practice providing comprehensive cancer care, personalized treatment plans, clinical research, and patient support across Maryland and Washington, DC.

What you will do

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for oncology and hematology patients.
  • Initiate and document interventions, evaluate patient and family responses, and prescribe therapies as indicated.
  • Perform procedures with minimal supervision and provide patient and family education.
  • Manage cases, capture patient charges, and complete medical record documentation.
  • Support evidence-based practice, clinical trial education, palliative care, and staff development.
  • Round at affiliated hospitals, provide weekend or after-hours coverage, and mentor new advanced practice providers or APP students.

Requirements

  • For Nurse Practitioners: an accredited MSN and Nurse Practitioner program, current RN and Nurse Practitioner licensure in the practicing state, and typically at least three years of practice experience.
  • For Physician Assistants: completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, current NCCPA certification and state licensure, and typically at least three years of practice experience.
  • For Clinical Nurse Specialists: an accredited MSN and Clinical Nurse Specialist program, current RN and Clinical Nurse Specialist licensure in the practicing state, and typically at least three years of practice experience.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
  • Ability to handle and lift patients, stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

  • AOCNP certification for Nurse Practitioners.
  • AOCNS certification for Clinical Nurse Specialists, where applicable.
  • Experience in the chosen specialty.
