What you will do

  • Support physicians and clinicians with patient examinations, procedures, and daily clinical care.
  • Escort patients and record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other visit data.
  • Obtain medical records, prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms, and order supplies.
  • Administer delegated subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
  • Maintain room disinfection protocols and support patient safety in an oncology clinic environment.
  • Handle patient calls, prescription communications, scheduling updates, chart preparation, reception, filing, and order entry under provider supervision.

Requirements

  • At least five years of medical assistant or nursing assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting for the Senior level.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and Certified Medical Assistant credentials are preferred; specific state certifications may be required.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an oncology and hematology clinic environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.
