Machine Repair Technician Level III (AOA)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; onsite work in an active airport environment

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair airport facilities and electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
• Lead preventive, predictive, corrective, scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance activities.
• Lead and delegate maintenance tasks while communicating with customers, airport personnel, team members, supervisors, and site leadership.
• Repair or replace equipment and components using blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
• Perform inspections, identify potential issues, document work in the CMMS, and use maintenance data to improve equipment reliability.
• Operate maintenance equipment and respond to service requests while minimizing equipment downtime and following safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain the necessary airport security clearance.
• Ability to work first, second, or third shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Five or more years of experience in facilities, industrial, commercial, or maintenance operations is preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors at an active airport, including around aircraft, heavy equipment, elevated areas, confined spaces, noise, fumes, and varying weather conditions.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience maintaining commercial or industrial facilities and airport operations.
• Experience with HVAC systems, electrical distribution, lighting, doors, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
