Plant Area Manager

Location: Lakeville, Minnesota, United States; primarily based in a production and/or warehouse setting, with occasional travel.

Salary: $97,000–$135,000 annually, plus an annual incentive plan.

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate workers across plant operations while ensuring production and quality specifications are met.
• Implement operational strategies covering safety, productivity, quality, customer service, staffing, cost, and profitability.
• Track site performance metrics, including machine and labor efficiency, and guide departmental leaders toward scorecard objectives.
• Support capacity management, production scheduling optimization, and on-time delivery performance across sites.
• Evaluate equipment feasibility, implement capital expenditure projects, and manage payback expectations.
• Lead continuous improvement, financial planning, forecasting, employee development, stakeholder support, and resolution of order issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience required.
• Knowledge of manufacturing facility operations, infrastructure, safety regulations, and worker and environmental protection.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, logistics, and manufacturing equipment, including safe usage, maintenance, and storage.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and process optimization methods.
• Frequent walking and standing are required, with occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
