Operations Manager

Location: USA - FL - Lakeland; onsite plant operations role

Salary: $101,500–$139,600 per year

What you will do

• Lead daily plant operations across assigned functions for a 250-person manufacturing operation.
• Set production standards and ensure employee safety, food safety, product quality, regulatory compliance, and cost objectives are achieved.
• Manage plant budgets covering staffing, operations, maintenance, and capital expenditures.
• Drive continuous improvement, OPEX implementation, waste reduction, efficiency, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Lead process planning, technical issue resolution, root-cause and failure analysis, and resolution of operational and maintenance problems.
• Develop employees and direct reports through coaching, training, communication, and change management while coordinating with internal functions, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing production, safety, food safety, quality, budgets, and operational performance.
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and make decisions during technical and operational issues.
• Ability to work at the Lakeland, Florida plant.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field.
• Experience leading in a non-union manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma concepts, programs, and systems.
• Strong financial and business acumen, project management skills, and talent development experience.
