Plant Manager

Location: Channahon, Illinois, United States; onsite plant operations

Salary: $133,800–$157,400 per year, plus eligibility for corporate bonus programs.

What you will do

• Set short- and long-range operating objectives and oversee production, field operations, warehousing, shipping and receiving, maintenance, and office management.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, safety procedures, and plant quality standards.
• Lead and develop supervisory personnel to maintain efficient and safe plant operations.
• Manage operating budgets, analyze profit and loss, improve profitability, and recommend capital equipment and plant expansion.
• Source materials, negotiate supplier and vendor contracts, and monitor the quality and cost effectiveness of supplies and services.
• Coordinate with other plant managers, regional operations, sales, corporate teams, suppliers, and the local community to support efficient operations and customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field is strongly preferred; equivalent plant or operations management experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing experience in a leadership role, including P&L, safety, quality, associate development, production, financial, and inventory management.
• Experience building high-performing teams in demanding, fast-moving, growth-oriented environments.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
• Business acumen, attention to detail, change leadership, and a record of delivering strong safety and business results.
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement, team building, associate relations, customer service, purchasing, distribution, marketing, and financial operations.
