Manager, Engineering

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States. Hybrid work is required for employees in or near the Bellevue or New York offices, with attendance 1–3 days per week; fully remote work is available for eligible non-office-based employees located farther from the offices. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $168,529–$219,091 USD annually, plus eligible equity, bonuses, commissions, and overtime.

What you will do

• Lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for large-scale media data ingestion and content catalog systems.
• Modernize and refactor ingestion and cataloging platforms to improve throughput, latency, scalability, and technical debt.
• Integrate AI and machine learning into creative identification, metadata extraction, fingerprinting, and content cataloging workflows.
• Own third-party data integrations, including ACR, set-top-box, streaming, and panel signals, as well as provider migrations and cutovers.
• Own the full software lifecycle, from design and development through release and post-release stability.
• Maintain 24/7 availability of ingestion engines and ad catalogs while coaching engineers and improving agile execution.

Requirements

• Experience managing engineering teams delivering production-grade distributed software at scale.
• Deep expertise in high-throughput data ingestion, big data architectures, or media metadata systems.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems and building scalable platform architectures.
• Experience embedding AI or machine learning models into production workflows.
• Architectural proficiency across backend data systems and frontend technologies for internal tools and dashboards.
• Experience with automated unit, integration, and regression testing, quality gates, root-cause analysis, production metrics, and agile sprint planning.

Nice to have

• Ad tech, media measurement, or audience measurement platform experience.
• Publisher-side or sell-side measurement experience, including reach, frequency, and cross-platform deduplication.
• Exposure to ACR, set-top-box, panel, or streaming census data sources.
• Experience managing engineering work tied to enterprise partner SLAs and contractual delivery dates.
