Manager, Engineering (AI)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States. Local employees and those near Bellevue or New York offices work hybrid, attending the office 1–3 days per week; employees farther from an office may work fully remotely. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States.

Target cash compensation: $168,529–$219,091 USD annually, plus equity and applicable bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Lead development of high-scale systems that ingest, process, and organize broadcast, digital, streaming, set-top-box, ACR, and panel data.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the Content Catalog and ad catalog, from design and development through release and post-release stability.
• Modernize ingestion and cataloging platforms to increase throughput, reduce latency, and lower technical debt.
• Embed AI and machine learning into workflows for creative identification, metadata extraction, fingerprinting, and data tagging.
• Own the architecture and usability of frontend internal tools and dashboards while maintaining backend platform performance.
• Coach engineers, lead sprint planning, enforce quality standards, and maintain reliable 24/7 platform operation.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing high-performing engineering teams delivering distributed production software at scale.
• Deep expertise in high-throughput data ingestion, big data architectures, or media metadata systems.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems, refactoring technical debt, and building scalable platform architectures.
• Experience integrating AI or machine learning models into production workflows.
• Architectural proficiency across backend data systems and frontend technologies for internal tools.
• Experience with quality gates, automated unit, integration, and regression testing, production metrics, root-cause analysis, and agile delivery.

Nice to have

• Ad tech, media measurement, audience measurement, or publisher-side and sell-side measurement experience.
• Familiarity with ACR, set-top-box, panel, or streaming census data sources.
• Experience managing enterprise partner SLAs and contractual delivery dates.
