Fast Formula Developer - Senior Associate (Oracle HCM)

Location: Chicago, United States; willingness to travel up to 50% is required.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annual base salary. Total estimated compensation including annual incentive: $134,400–$171,100.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle Cloud HCM Fast Formulas for payroll calculations, eligibility rules, validations, and data extracts.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable formula-based solutions.
• Modify existing formulas and create new formulas to support evolving business processes.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, functional consultants, clients, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and troubleshoot issues.
• Document formula logic, testing procedures, and deployment processes while supporting end-to-end testing and post-go-live resolution.
• Participate in knowledge transfer and provide training to internal teams.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud HCM and Fast Formulas.
• Strong understanding of Oracle HCM Payroll, Time & Labor, Absence, Benefits, and Compensation modules.
• Proficiency with Calculation, Validation, Extract Rule, Element Input Validation, and other formula types.
• Familiarity with the Oracle HCM data model, user-defined tables, and database structures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship and Canadian citizenship are listed as requirements; willingness to travel up to 50% is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with HCM Extracts and HDL.
• Oracle HCM Cloud certification.
• Experience supporting large-scale Oracle HCM implementations and working in cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to higher education, healthcare, or public-sector industries.
• Familiarity with OTBI reporting and SQL.
