Maintenance Mechanic (Temporary/Contract)

Aerospace and electronics company operating a manufacturing facility.

What you will do

• Perform mechanical repairs, modifications, assembly, alignment, and routine maintenance for infrastructure and manufacturing equipment.
• Service rotating and reciprocating machinery, including pumps, motors up to 50 hp, engines, fans, blowers, compressors, ovens, furnaces, and environmental chambers.
• Design, repair, build, and modify vacuum, cryogenic, and high-pressure plumbing systems.
• Operate mills, lathes, grinders, drills, gauges, meters, and other mechanical tools.
• Document maintenance activities and results in computer maintenance management software.
• Follow work orders and schedules while supporting maintenance, facilities, and production improvement activities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a machinist, mechanic, millwright, pipefitter, or in an equivalent trade.
• Knowledge of general mechanical and engineering principles.
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment, including mills and lathes.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics and design basic tools and manufacturing drawings.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment, at heights up to 25 feet, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Trade school, apprenticeship, or certificate in a related field.
