Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Westbury, New York, USA; on-site plant work with rotating shifts

Salary: $43.85–$58.37 per hour

What you will do

• Perform planned, unplanned, and preventive maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns and operational downtime.
• Repair, inspect, assemble, disassemble, and replace components on industrial production and processing machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical malfunctions by observing and evaluating equipment operation.
• Investigate breakdowns and line stoppages using root-cause analysis in collaboration with relevant teams and stakeholders.
• Prioritize repairs and equipment installations, review maintenance statistics, and adjust maintenance activities as needed.
• Open and close work orders, manage spare parts, complete documentation, and verify compliance with safety and operating standards.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, work at heights and in confined spaces, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
