Maintenance Technician II (Industrial Manufacturing)

Location: Kingsport, Tennessee, United States; onsite industrial maintenance role

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain molding machines, robots, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures, including PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, drive controllers, and machine alarms.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment setups, adjustments, and changeovers to reduce downtime.
• Repair, calibrate, and adjust robotic and pick-and-place systems; upload and restore machine control programs.
• Conduct root cause analysis, equipment audits, and reliability improvement projects.
• Coordinate repairs with production teams, vendors, and external technical resources while guiding Level I Maintenance Technicians.

Requirements

• Technical degree preferred or equivalent technical experience, with 5+ years in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Working knowledge of CMMS and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to read schematics and interpret OEM manuals, gauges, and measuring tools.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, communication, organizational, and personal leadership skills.
• Ability to follow safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
