TL;DR
Maintenance Technician I (6:45pm - 6:45am) (Manufacturing Equipment): Maintaining and repairing medical IV solution, filling, and packaging manufacturing equipment with an accent on electrical systems, PLCs, robotics, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Focus on troubleshooting high-speed production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, documenting work in CMMS, and supporting safe, compliant plant operations.

Location: Marion, North Carolina, United States; onsite night shift from 6:45pm to 6:45am

Salary: $46,400–$63,800 annually

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on medical IV solution, filling, and packaging equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, drawing packages, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, variable-frequency drives, servos, robotics, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, sensors, and vision systems.
  • Respond to equipment and process issues, perform unscheduled maintenance, and complete modifications, upgrades, and new installations.
  • Document maintenance activities, work orders, approvals, and signoffs in the CMMS according to Good Documentation Practices.
  • Support EHS, cGMP, manufacturing SOP compliance, and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school training preferred.
  • 1–2 years of maintenance experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with CMMS; Maximo is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Omron, plus AC/DC motors, drives, electrical systems up to 480V three-phase, relays, sensors, solenoids, and low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical and building drawings, and part diagrams; understanding of cGMP regulations and procedural documentation.
  • Fluent English and authorization to work for an employer in the U.S. are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SCADA, EMS, BMS, Cognex, Keyence, high-speed packaging, pick-and-place systems, continuous inkjet printing, and related manufacturing equipment.
  • Technical school training.
