Category Manager (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Lead procurement projects and develop strategic sourcing strategies for high-spend, high-impact categories.
• Manage the full spend lifecycle, including sourcing, procurement, contracts, supplier relationships, inventory, and material standardization.
• Develop, negotiate, execute, and maintain strategic sourcing agreements for materials, equipment, and services.
• Identify cost-reduction and total-cost-of-ownership savings opportunities by aggregating sourcing volumes.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Units, Operating Companies, and suppliers to align buying and inventory strategies.
• Track and communicate program metrics, savings progress, and operational improvements to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in supply chain, fleet, or a related area.
• Project management skills, an investigative approach, and a process-oriented mindset.
• Experience with supplier relationship management, contract administration, strategic sourcing, or inventory strategies.
• Ability to work onsite in Columbus, Ohio.

Nice to have

• Eight years of supply chain or related experience.
• MBA or purchasing certification.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, kaizen, continuous improvement, utilities, operations, or manufacturing.
