General Construction Project Estimator (Construction)

Location: Full-time onsite in Rancho Cucamonga, California, US, with occasional travel for training and job site visits.

Salary: $90,000–$105,000 annual

What you will do

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design-development, and final estimates from plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs by trade and cost code.
• Account for allowances, contingencies, escalation, general conditions, supervision, overhead, permits, testing, inspections, bonds, insurance, logistics, and closeout.
• Review wage determinations and calculate prevailing wage labor costs.
• Evaluate project schedules and their effects on labor, equipment, supervision, and general conditions.
• Document assumptions, clarifications, exclusions, qualifications, and estimate accuracy before management review; conduct occasional job site visits and inspections.

Requirements

• Experience estimating public works, commercial, institutional, renovation, or general construction projects.
• Experience with DSA-regulated K-12 or higher education construction, commercial construction, and modular building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Knowledge of construction costs, cost codes, subcontractor pricing, project bidding, prevailing wage requirements, construction codes, and regulatory compliance.
• OSHA 30 certification and knowledge of construction safety requirements.
• Proficiency with Procore, plus strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
