TL;DR
Training Specialist (Aerospace Manufacturing): Developing and delivering technical training for manufacturing processes at a Lynnwood aerospace facility with an accent on curriculum development, training coordination, and operator conformance. Focus on evaluating training effectiveness, maintaining training systems and records, and supporting Lean manufacturing, soldering, crimping, SMT, bonding, coating, and IPC training.

Location: Lynnwood, Washington, United States; onsite manufacturing environment. Access to Controlled Data or Information may be required, and only US Persons will be considered for roles requiring such access under ITAR.

Salary: $97,900–$118,300 per year.

What you will do

  • Develop, maintain, and update technical training curricula based on new technologies, products, and performance gaps.
  • Schedule classes and students according to operational requirements.
  • Deliver manufacturing-process training or coordinate training through external resources.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness, identify improvements, and monitor operator conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain training materials, class rosters, training records, and the Convergence training system.
  • Work with Quality, Manufacturing, Human Resources, and operational organizations to identify training needs and resources.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience providing training in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of training coordination, scheduling, delivery, and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform psychomotor tasks and produce observable work outcomes, with strong communication skills.
  • Accurate color, near, and depth vision, plus finger and manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and arm-hand steadiness.
  • US Person status may be required for access to Controlled Data or Information under ITAR.

Nice to have

  • Experience training soldering, crimping, SMT, IPC, bonding, coating, and other manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Convergence.
  • Associate degree.
  • Knowledge of basic assembly drawings, terminal soldering, high-voltage interconnectors, hand crimping, bonding and coating, SMT, PCB soldering, and IPC training.
