On the Job Trainer (Flex) (CNC Manufacturing)

Location: Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, United States; on-site. Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m., with occasional one- to two-hour schedule adjustments to provide training overlap.

Salary: $21.83–$25.00 per hour, plus a $3.40 per-hour shift differential.

What you will do

• Train employees on manufacturing procedures, policies, work instructions, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Create and maintain work instructions and other training materials with technical leads and managers.
• Deliver hands-on instruction and help employees locate relevant work instructions for their work areas.
• Maintain training plans and records, and work with technical leads to certify skill attainment.
• Provide training coverage for off-shift employees when arranged with management.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area while supporting process and performance improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of training or teaching experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology.
• Ability to teach and influence employees in group and one-on-one settings, including a culturally diverse workforce.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficient English reading, writing, and speaking skills are required; basic arithmetic, computer, and calculator skills are also required.
• Must meet the skill and physical requirements of the job area being trained and be able to lift or move more than 50 pounds.
• Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status. Temporary visa holders are not eligible.
