TL;DR
Senior Manager, Operations Training (Manufacturing): Building and leading scalable manufacturing training systems across a North American network with an accent on production onboarding, OJT, technical skills development, certification, and safety training. Focus on standardizing workforce capability programs across multiple sites, measuring training impact, and improving safety, quality, productivity, retention, and time-to-proficiency.

Location: Ideally based at a U.S. branch location in McKinney, TX; Riverside, CA; Stockton, CA; Gallatin, TN; or Columbus, OH. Full-time, exempt role with up to 40% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $123,700–$210,300 per year, with eligibility for quarterly bonus or commission.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute an enterprise operations training strategy aligned with manufacturing priorities.
  • Design and scale production onboarding, OJT frameworks, qualification processes, and certification standards across multiple sites.
  • Manage skills matrices, proficiency standards, role-based learning paths, and technical and operational curricula.
  • Develop trainer qualification standards, coaching programs, standardized tools, and training quality assurance processes.
  • Partner with manufacturing leaders, branch teams, HR, and Learning & Organizational Development to align enterprise programs with local operational needs.
  • Use learning technologies, training systems, data, and reporting to measure outcomes and improve safety, quality, productivity, retention, and time-to-proficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience leading manufacturing training, workforce development, technical training, or learning functions in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting production operations, plant workforces, and frontline manufacturing employees.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise OJT programs across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Experience developing skills matrices, operator qualification programs, certification frameworks, and workforce readiness initiatives.
  • Experience standardizing training across plants, branches, or manufacturing facilities and using LMS platforms, learning technologies, data, and reporting to measure effectiveness.

Nice to have

  • Experience in manufacturing, building products, industrial products, automotive, metals and fabrication, consumer products manufacturing, or distribution and manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and technical training methodologies.
