Painter - 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

JLG, an hirify.global company, develops and manufactures access equipment such as mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and accessories.

What you will do

• Apply primer, paint, and touch-up coatings using electrostatic, air-assist, automotive-style spray equipment, and brushes.
• Mask and unmask parts, prepare surfaces through sanding and washing, and perform light bodywork when needed.
• Mix paints for color accuracy, viscosity, and consistency; perform titrations and adjust process chemicals.
• Disassemble, clean, maintain, and flush painting equipment, tanks, and lines during color changes.
• Apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing, then perform mil, gloss, and visual quality checks.
• Move parts and materials using tuggers, forklifts, overhead cranes, or manual carts while maintaining an organized work area.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of painting experience in automotive, industrial, or heavy equipment settings.
• Strong math skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass a Pulmonary Function Test.
• Willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as production demands require.
• Regular and reliable attendance in person and on site is required.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of painting experience in a manufacturing or body shop environment.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot minor issues.
