Metal Finish Painter I – Prep & Rough-In

Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States. Full-time onsite role with a Monday–Thursday schedule of four 10-hour shifts, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Starting pay: minimum $21.32 per hour, with pay based on experience and education.

What you will do

• Disassemble truck components and prepare parts, cabs, and truck bodies for painting.
• Grind, sand, caulk, and tape components using basic hand tools.
• Hang and remove parts from paint-line systems and safely position components on carts or hangers.
• Inspect work against quality standards and accurately complete production, inventory, and work documentation.
• Use computer systems to locate and track parts and operate materials carts or forklifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following written and verbal instructions.

Requirements

• General knowledge of hand tools and basic sanding; willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift and position truck components weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions, bending, kneeling, climbing, and tool use.
• Ability to work safely around loud noise, dust, moving machinery, and changing temperatures while using required PPE.
• Clear communication skills and sufficient visual and auditory acuity for safe equipment operation.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six or more months of manufacturing experience or an evaluated equivalent.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
