Painter (Manufacturing)

Location: Hiram, Georgia, United States; in-person and on-site attendance required

JLG, an hirify.global company, develops access equipment including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and accessories.

What you will do

• Apply primer, paint, touch-up coatings, decals, stencils, and rust-proofing to JLG products.
• Prepare surfaces through sanding, washing, conditioning, and light bodywork.
• Mix paints for accurate color, viscosity, and consistency, and adjust process chemicals through titrations.
• Disassemble, clean, maintain, and flush painting equipment during color changes.
• Inspect finishes using quality checks including mil and gloss measurements.
• Transport parts and materials with tuggers, forklifts, overhead cranes, or manual carts while maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of painting experience in automotive, industrial, or heavy equipment settings.
• Strong math skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass a Pulmonary Function Test.
• Ability and willingness to work in person and on site in Hiram, Georgia.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive movements, and lift or carry up to 35 pounds.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of painting experience in a manufacturing or body shop environment.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot minor issues.
