Mechanic (Diesel)

Location: Abita Springs, Louisiana, United States; travel required to repair pumping equipment at work sites and district shops.

Salary: $24.00–$27.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul diesel tractors and specialized pumping systems.
• Ensure equipment meets DOT standards and safety protocols.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement solutions that support equipment availability.
• Maintain and optimize equipment used in delivery operations.
• Travel to work sites and district shops to repair and maintain equipment.
• Communicate technical needs and support a proactive safety-first maintenance environment.

Requirements

• At least one year of automotive maintenance or mechanical experience.
• Experience using basic hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Knowledge of gasoline engine mechanics and preventive maintenance.
• Valid non-CDL driver's license.
• Ability to provide basic hand tools is preferred.

Nice to have

• High school diploma, GED, technical college education, or military technical experience.
• Familiarity or interest in cryogenics and hydraulics.
• Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement or DOT brake certification.
