Healthcare Consulting Director - Workforce Automation and AI

Location: Chicago, United States; travel based on client, enterprise, or project needs is required, with current Healthcare practice travel averaging less than 50% annually. US work authorization is required.

Estimated base salary: $170,000–$215,000 annually. Total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation: $212,500–$290,250.

What you will do

• Lead complex healthcare performance improvement engagements and ensure successful client outcomes.
• Shape and scale technology-enabled consulting offerings using AI, automation, and digital platforms.
• Develop strategies involving solutions such as ambient listening AI and scribing, AI-driven workforce intelligence, and virtual nursing.
• Manage engagement economics, including budgets, revenue forecasts, margins, invoicing, and billing.
• Quantify benefits, identify risks, and develop operational performance improvement solutions.
• Build executive-level client relationships, lead change processes, and support proposals and new business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8–10 years of consulting and/or healthcare experience.
• Extensive healthcare operations experience directing a large hospital department or team-based performance improvement projects.
• Experience with digital and AI technologies, process engineering, operational change, and broad-based change management.
• Direct supervisory experience with individuals and large, complex teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; US work authorization required.
