What you will do
- Source and procure spare parts, OEM components, engineered tooling, and MRO materials for continuous manufacturing operations.
- Interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and equipment documentation to ensure accurate purchasing.
- Manage purchase orders, monitor lead times, and expedite deliveries to prevent production downtime.
- Negotiate with suppliers, manage agreements, and support strategic sourcing and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Optimize inventory levels and ERP/MRP planning parameters while monitoring supplier quality, delivery, and service.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Receiving, and Finance teams; track procurement KPIs and participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Three or more years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience procuring spare parts, OEM components, tooling, and MRO supplies.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office; JD Edwards/JDE experience is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
- Demonstrated supplier negotiation, inventory management, cost-saving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- An associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical, or Tooling Technology is preferred; equivalent technical, apprenticeship, or military experience is considered.
