Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: Deer Park, New York, USA; onsite role.

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Source and purchase commercial and non-commercial parts, operating supplies, and services for manufacturing and new product development.
• Evaluate and coordinate with vendors on pricing, capabilities, validation, product information, and delivery dates.
• Monitor on-time delivery, vendor quality, late orders, corrective actions, and expediting needs.
• Coordinate purchasing with manufacturing, planning, inventory, and engineering teams to maintain cost-effective inventory levels.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies, supplier returns, and rejections while tracking purchasing results and benchmarks.
• Maintain and support Syteline ERP data, including item masters, manufacturing methods, costing methods, and bill-of-material exports.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on purchasing experience using MRP or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of purchasing principles, supplier research, analysis, negotiation, manufacturing, quality, and on-time delivery management.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and assembly drawings and onscreen 3D models.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.
