Scheduler (Construction)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; on-site

Salary: $80,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare schedules for proposed and awarded construction projects, including detailed CPM schedules.
• Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules covering activities, milestones, approvals, procurement items, and project deliverables.
• Create schedule logic and realistic activity durations using engineering, procurement, and construction concepts.
• Assess contract changes and schedule shortfalls, documenting their impacts.
• Provide specialized guidance to resolve complex scheduling problems and prepare schedule updates required by contract documents.
• Coordinate schedule development and changes with project teams, designers, owners' representatives, construction managers, subcontractors, and other project partners.

Requirements

• At least five years of construction scheduling experience with a general contractor on large-scale, multi-phased projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• Working knowledge of standard cost control methods used across project delivery methods.
• Strong communication skills in team, meeting, and presentation settings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
