Assistant Vice President, Investment Operations – Private

Location: Los Angeles, California

Base salary: $165,000–$195,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Support private credit deal closings, fundings, asset setup, investment monitoring, and post-close administration.
• Coordinate with investment professionals, legal and compliance, accounting and tax, technology, reporting teams, and external counterparties.
• Review credit agreements, amendments, fee letters, and other legal documents to identify critical deal terms and operational requirements.
• Manage relationships with banks, custodians, facilities, rating agencies, co-investors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain operational policies, procedures, controls, document management, and escalation processes.
• Analyze bottlenecks and contribute to process improvements, automation, and longer-term systems solutions.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of relevant operations experience at an asset management company, investment bank, or financial services company.
• At least 1 year of private credit investment operations or middle-office experience, including review of private credit documents for key terms and operational nuances.
• Strong knowledge of private credit fund concepts, including corporate direct lending; knowledge of the BSL market is a plus.
• Strong general finance, process documentation, analytical, and cross-functional operations skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree relevant to the position; a Master’s degree is a plus.
