TL;DR
Vice President, Carlyle AlpInvest Finance & Operations (Private Markets): Managing fund finance and operations for Portfolio Finance deals and funds across funding, reporting, valuation, tax, and exit with an accent on fund accounting, liquidity management, investor reporting, and financial controls. Focus on coordinating complex closings, reviewing quarterly fund reporting and valuations, overseeing credit facility activity, and supporting audits, tax reporting, and process enhancements.

Location: New York, NY; in-office 4 days per week

Base salary: $180,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential annual discretionary incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

  • Manage fund finance and operational activities for Portfolio Finance transactions from funding through exit.
  • Coordinate deal and fund closings, including liquidity analysis, due diligence, entity formation, legal structuring, and tax documentation.
  • Oversee liquidity forecasts, capital calls, distributions, credit facility borrowing and repayment requests, and compliance reporting.
  • Review quarterly fund closes, carry calculations, capital allocations, financial statements, investor reporting, and performance models.
  • Support valuation processes, maintain joint venture waterfalls, and prepare valuation committee materials.
  • Coordinate audits, tax reporting, management company reporting, public company disclosures, and technology or process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Finance or Accounting concentration preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in financial services.
  • Experience with alternatives, fund accounting, and GP/LP structures.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including accounting for closed- and open-ended fund structures.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • CPA, private equity or fund-of-funds experience, third-party administrator experience, and Investran experience are preferred or advantageous.
