Focus on preparing loan approvals, making buy/hold/sell recommendations, coordinating loan processing, and resolving portfolio issues.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $107,395–$132,661 annually for Los Angeles, CA; annual bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock may also apply.

What you will do

  • Analyze, underwrite, and coordinate the closing of large corporate loans and structured products valued at $25 million or more.
  • Gather and analyze information for presentation with Originators to Senior Management and Loan Committee.
  • Monitor credit risks and analyze portfolio investment performance to support buy, hold, or sell recommendations.
  • Prepare portfolio scorecards and recommend marks on collateral.
  • Coordinate the processing of approved loans in line with agreements, customer needs, and bank lending policies.
  • Manage portfolio upkeep and help resolve issues related to new loan requests and existing portfolios.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in portfolio management or a similar field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of fixed-income investing.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring.
  • Completed credit analyst training.
  • Advanced speaking, Excel, and written communication skills.

  • Progress toward or completion of the CFA qualification.
