Network Engineer 2

Location: Columbia, Maryland, United States; on-site. United States citizenship and an appropriate security clearance are required.

Salary: $55.32–$92.67 per hour.

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, upgrade, configure, and test network solutions and equipment.
• Administer LAN, CAN, and WAN environments and support network interfaces for users and operations personnel.
• Analyze network performance, data flows, latency, throughput, and system/component interface requirements.
• Implement solutions involving load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, traffic shaping, VoIP, GRE tunneling, IPSec, IP encryption, MoIP, and NAT.
• Develop network and mission architecture designs, maintain network diagrams and accreditations, and support new partner requirements.
• Manage assigned tasks and provide guidance to junior Network Engineers while meeting DoD/IC regulations.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph.
• United States citizenship.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline and six years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience.
• Alternatively, twelve years of relevant network engineering experience plus an industry-standard certification may substitute for the degree requirements.
• DoD IAT Level II baseline certification is required.
• Relevant certifications may include Arista Configuration Essentials, Cisco CCNA, or Juniper certification tracks.
