Director of Operations (Manufacturing)

Location: East Providence, Rhode Island, USA; primarily based at the East Providence facility. Estimated travel: 50%.

What you will do

• Set the direction and long-term strategy for global operations, procurement, and supply chain management.
• Establish manufacturing objectives aligned with strategic and operating plans.
• Optimize operations through simplification, continuous improvement, and operational management systems.
• Improve on-time delivery, reduce backlogs, increase productivity, and optimize conversion costs and inventory.
• Lead global projects and promote best-practice exchange and advanced standards across facilities.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, HR, Marketing, and division leadership to drive profitable growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an operations leader.
• Experience with multi-site global manufacturing and distribution is required.
• Proven results in operational excellence, quality, delivery, and lead-time improvement.
• Experience developing global supply chain teams and optimizing localization and cost.
• Strong financial acumen and experience optimizing conversion costs and inventory.
• Proven leadership in safety culture, prevention-focused improvement, customer commitment, and delivery against commitments.

Nice to have

• Injection molding experience.
