Systems Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; hybrid environment with occasional travel

U.S. Citizenship is required, and the position requires the ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Perform advanced requirements engineering, systems integration, verification and validation, and Model Based Systems Engineering activities.
• Lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and technical risk management.
• Develop system architectures and designs while supporting technical monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Take on significant project responsibilities and collaborate across multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• Guide and mentor junior and less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Advanced proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation and allocation, systems design, integration, technical risk management, and V&V principles.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time operating systems, embedded systems, and aerospace and defense programs.
• Experience with DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB, or similar requirements and systems modeling tools.
• INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification and experience with baseline definition, trade studies, and Technical Performance Measurements.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies or Scrum Master certification.
