Senior Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Lead systems engineering activities across aerospace product lifecycles, from concept development through design, integration, verification, launch, and operational support.
• Develop system verification and validation strategies, methods, acceptance criteria, configurations, and supporting test environments.
• Maintain requirements traceability matrices, verification cross-reference matrices, documentation, and verification evidence packages.
• Partner with integration and test teams to plan and support system integration and verification activities.
• Evaluate test results, resolve technical discrepancies, and support corrective actions and risk management.
• Provide technical leadership, participate in reviews and customer meetings, mentor junior engineers, and improve systems engineering processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, systems, electrical, mechanical, computer engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of experience, with an emphasis on space-based communication payloads.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, the systems development lifecycle, requirements management, systems architecture, interface management, integration, and configuration management.
• Experience developing, managing, and verifying system and subsystem requirements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must satisfy U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulation eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with spacecraft mission planning, launch support, and on-orbit operations.
• Experience with spacecraft system integration, mission readiness, and operational activities.
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated engineering programs.
