Program Manager I (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Beavercreek, Ohio, United States; office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel may be required. U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Manage multiple programs and projects, including customer relationships, cost, schedule, technical planning, and execution.
• Oversee programs with budgets up to $20M and track overall performance, status, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead and supervise cross-functional program and project staff.
• Serve as the primary customer point of contact and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support resource planning, proposal development, audits, contract negotiations, and business operations.
• Identify and resolve program issues while ensuring cost, budget, and schedule constraints are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, project management, management, engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• At least 6 years of progressive project or program management experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• At least 1 year of experience leading teams of 3 or more cross-functional members.
• Experience managing multiple projects or a small program, serving as a primary customer contact, and coordinating program integration.
• Experience with proposals or quotes, contract negotiations, financial management, resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• PMP certification and an advanced degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, PMBOK, CMMI, agile or spiral development, and Earned Value Management.
• Experience with corporate project management tools, data architectures, and ISO 9001 processes.
