Senior Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Full-time onsite in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

Salary: $80,500–$123,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead top-level program plans and coordinate execution plans with functional group leads.
• Develop proposals, support pre-award activities, and manage performance against budget.
• Manage program scope, requirements, deliverables, budgets, schedules, resources, risks, issues, and opportunities.
• Establish change-management processes and facilitate negotiations on cost, schedule, quality, and performance objectives.
• Track project status and performance metrics, communicate with customers and program leadership, and resolve program issues.
• Lead satellite electronics programs from development through final product delivery using recognized project-management standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace or a technical field as a project or program manager.
• Thorough knowledge of project-management practices, project lifecycles, requirements definition, proposal preparation, negotiation, and implementation.
• Ability to lead activities and resources across the organization and communicate effectively with customers at all levels.
• Strong initiative in defining and communicating schedule metrics for decision-making.
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected individual status required for ITAR/EAR compliance; some positions require current U.S. citizenship.

• Master’s degree in project management, business administration, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
