Quality Assurance Tech 1

Location: New Castle, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite at the facility. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 4 PM–4 AM.

Salary: $17 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

What you will do

• Identify and respond to food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and HACCP concerns.
• Measure, observe, inspect, and audit processes and products during startups, changeovers, line clearance, preventive maintenance, and in-process production.
• Use gauges and measurement procedures to verify product dimensions and enter data into quality software.
• Place products on hold when they do not meet specifications and the issue is not caused by gauge or operator error.
• Complete quality documentation and communicate findings with supervisors, shift personnel, and management.
• Perform visual inspections, sampling, and other quality duties according to work instructions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to read and interpret measurement prints and specifications.
• Communication skills, legible writing, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow GMP, HACCP, sampling, inspection, and documentation procedures.
