2nd Shift Seasonal Quality Tech (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Ashland, Ohio, USA. Full-time second-shift position with mandatory overtime; working hours may vary according to production schedules and coverage needs.

What you will do

• Monitor production processes and products using sensory, weight-control, and analytical methods.
• Evaluate raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, packaging, seals, code dates, weights, color, moisture, pH, and overall quality.
• Perform, document, validate, and calibrate routine laboratory tests and equipment.
• Communicate nonconformities and product standards to production employees and QA or production supervisors.
• Execute and monitor Food Safety and Food Quality Plans under the SQF program, including metal detection verification.
• Conduct pre-operation, sanitation, allergen, and equipment inspections; investigate product holds and coordinate approved rework or disposition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and/or one year of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform routine biological or chemical analytical tests and accurately document results.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously, use hands continuously, and frequently taste, smell, talk, hear, and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Occasional ability to climb into trailers and walk on uneven surfaces to collect samples.
• Ability to work in indoor facility and outdoor conditions involving dust, noise, and temperature variation.
