Quality Assurance Lead (Food Safety)

Location: Del Rey, California, USA; onsite, full-time, 2nd shift

Salary: $24.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Assist with supervising quality assurance functions and maintaining plant quality and food safety systems.
• Support the development, implementation, auditing, and maintenance of quality and food safety programs.
• Support HACCP and HARPC/FSMA programs, participate in preventive control checks, and monitor critical control points.
• Oversee water, in-process arils, air, finished-product microbiological testing, and environmental swabbing.
• Provide technical support, equipment calibration, supply ordering, and quality improvement assistance.
• Maintain processing records, production files, product holds, and documentation for product release.

Requirements

• Familiarity with state-specific food safety laws and microorganism biology.
• Knowledge of biological sciences and the ability to prepare technical reports and recommendations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-management skills.
• Ability to guide personnel, lead team-based problem solving, and work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to scheduling and operational requirements.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
